The doctor diagnosed Liam Neeson’s character with CTE
An aging gangster tries to reconnect with his children and right the wrongs of his past, but the underworld doesn’t want to loosen its grip… Liam Neeson took up boxing at the age of 9 and practiced at the amateur level until he was 17 . A definitive diagnosis of CTE can only be made by examining brain tissue after a person’s death.

This diagnosis should have been presumptive with other options and possible treatments explored.. Thug: Were you born without a filter? Or is it something you had to work on?
It’s definitely slow, but I think it plays well

I was expecting another action movie led by Liam Neeson, but this is a more thoughtful movie. You really get the feeling that the boy eventually regrets his choices in life.
You also get the feeling that it was meant for that life
I think Liam’s character development throughout the film deepens your feelings for him. This is a flawed/violent person who eventually becomes more desperate to reconcile with estranged family. The film touches heavily on intergenerational abuse and neglect and the chaos and struggle that follows generation after generation.
Additionally, I thought the film was exceptionally written
If you’re willing to give it time and appreciate Neeson’s more subtle performances, you should.
