Maria is a wonder to look at
The cinematography and vintage feel of the era is masterfully created. The settings, her apartments, and the locations are great. The costumes are gorgeous, the fabrics, the furniture, it was all breathtaking.
The problem is that Mary has it all
I don’t love Jolie as an actress, but I felt she did a great job here, as did the rest of the cast. But they were given so little to work with. The whole movie is so slow and so boring that all I could focus on was how beautiful it all looked.
None of her ranks as a singer have been covered
I didn’t learn anything about Callas, and worst of all, there was supposed to be more to her than her relationship with Onassis. In fact, this relationship seems to have defined her life, according to this movie, and I think that’s an insult to the real woman. There is no need to waste your time endlessly scrolling, here is the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
