The Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
Tale
The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes his living by carrying out high-stakes assassinations. He soon meets his match in the form of a tenacious British intelligence officer who tracks him down in a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. In the film The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model.
Then I saw the trailers and my excitement grew even more
Mentioned in Graham Norton and guest: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). I had been eagerly awaiting The Day of the Jackal since I first heard about it. Well, after watching it, I can say that it definitely lived up to my expectations.
I was wrong, because he absolutely killed it
Everyone knows what a great actor Eddie Redmayne is, but I still had my doubts about his performance. He plays the anti-hero perfectly here, and you root for him to succeed. This series is best watched in its entirety, because I can promise you that after watching one episode, you won’t be able to wait to watch the next one.
I highly recommend this series
When Redmayne’s character (The Jackal) is on a mission, you’re on the edge of your seat waiting to see what happens next. The Jackal reminds me of a James Bond spy gone bad. The new season of Silo is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases this month.
